Canning peaches this year was wonderful!! We did 80 quarts in one day! Jason bought me an outdoor cook stove so we canned outside and it was a dream! I loved hosing off the deck to clean up! The boys also helped and I think that's why it went so fast. I am so glad Jason helps me.

tall tall towers (#34)
I told Bridger that when he was a toddler we would build a tall tall tower with ALL the legos every day. We had so much fun. He decided he wanted to do it again. We couldn't make it go up to the ceiling this time because the ceiling is higher than our other one! We had lots of fun and of course the funnest part is knocking it down.

My best friend Shelley (#20)

I don't know quite what I would do without Shelley. She listens to everything I say (which is a lot) and always has helpful input. She has a calming influence wherever she is and is an amazing wife and Mother. She is creative, thorough, perceptive and thoughtful. I am thankful that she is my friend.
Demolition Derby (#19)
One of our friends (Cody Smith) drives a car in the West Jordan Demolition Derby. Jason is in the pit crew and it is so much fun! The boys have always loved it and I was surprised that Sienna had so much fun this year. The car was painted like Shrek. The boys were cheering for Cody and Sienna would yell "go Cody" and then giggle. It was great!

4-wheeling (#17)
My Dad has had 4-wheelers ever since I was little. In fact Annie & I even had our own when we were little. We named them and loved riding them. Mine was blue and I named in Babe (as in babe the blue ox). My boys can not get enough of the 4-wheelers. They even love sitting on them and pretending to drive them! It is so fun when Grandpa Dave takes us 4-wheeling!

Swimming (#16)
I have fallen far behind so in this picture I resorted to taking it myself!! Not too bad and I love Sienna's face! Ever since I had Bridger I seem to have an unrealistic paranoia about my kids in the water. I was just sure one of them would drown. In an effort to relax and not let my fears control me I have taken my kids swimming almost every week since Bridger was a toddler. It has worked for all of us. The kids are amazing in the water. They are just like fish! I am still nervous, but I don't hyperventilate when the kids are in the pool.

Tour de Kaysville (#11)
I love riding bikes as a family so when our Stake sponsored the "Tour de Kaysville" I knew we HAD to be a part of it. We lined up and the bull horn sent us off on our 4 mile ride around Kaysville. Brother Horne from our ward brought this bike. I think he told Jason about it one Sunday and Jason said he'd love to see it. It was interesting to ride because there were no breaks, shocks, or cushy seat. Kind of crazy!!
Reading with my kids (#10)
Reading to my children is one of my favorite things to do. It gives me an excuse to snuggle with them and I love how the words on the page are so much more lively when reading them to a child. I read to all of them at bedtime. Kennin & I read together for one-on-one time almost every day. When Bridger was little we used to read at least an hour every morning. He loved it. Sienna is getting to the point where she can "read" the books to me. I love it. Last time we went to the library Sienna picked out books that we had at home or that my mother had read to her. Now that Bridger is a more independent reader he reads to his siblings and they all love it.

Biking (#9)
One of my favorite things to do is go on bike rides with my family, but you guessed it...there are pictures of everyone else on bikes, but none of me. I handed the camera to Bridger and he took this picture as I was coming to get it from him. I am so glad it is getting warmer. I love going on bike rides!

Family Clock (#8)

I am working on this awesome wall clock and I can't wait to have it done! Jason helped me today by cutting down some of the picture frames. We both worked on spray painting and let's just face it there's something satisfying about instantly covering up something with a can of paint. I'll post the final project when I have it done!

Sienna's birthday cake (#7)

This is Sienna's cake right after I made it! It looked super cute! I put it in the fridge and the next morning the color had melted off the skittles and it looked like the cake was bleeding. Sienna didn't care, the boys thought it was cool, and I wasn't too excited to serve it family members. So we re-frosted it with whipped cream and the boys redecorated it. It actually turned out to be a fun family project!

Dinner with the Beehives (#6)

The Beehives wanted to do a parent appreciation dinner. So last night they served their parents. The girl were amazing. The were asking what they could do to help and very enthusiastic. They had made all the food ahead of time. They wrote letters to their parents and made their Mom's a corsage. This is Sophie and I right outside the kitchen. I am in my fancy dress with an my fancy apron. It was very good, but a lot of work! Glad it's over!

Sienna's hair (#3)

I do this everyday!! A day doesn't go by without sitting Sienna on the counter and me doing her hair. Distractions work well. Somedays she turns the faucet on and off...sometimes it's spraying the mirror with the spray bottle...others she tries to comb her own hair. After I tell her the elastics are in she asks for a bow. I can't believe she will turn two this month! She is so much fun!
(By the way Dara was our delivery nurse and she was awesome! Rachelle and Karen took care of me when I was laboring all night and they were the best!)

Valentines Day!!
I love Valentine's Day!! It is my favorite Holiday! I just think that we don't celebrate relationships and love enough. Not just romantic love, but love for children, best friends, neighbors you couldn't live without, parents who support you, and siblings that make you laugh. I also like that a Valentine can be given to whoever you want. Everyone loves to get a Valentine and no one feels obligated or stressed to reciprocate. The people involved just enjoy the giving and receiving for what it is-an awesome reminder that you are loved. In honor of love I am going to keep my background Valentinesy the whole year!
Forcing bulbs in January (#2)

Every January I grow a "forced" bulb. These bulbs have been kept cold the past few months so by January they think it's Spring and they will grow. I am always so tired of the cold by January that it makes me feel good to see something grow. These bulbs grow so fast you can see change every day. This year I did paperwhites. They smell good! I also like to grow Amaryllys & Hyacinth.
Kennin (he is 4) took this picture. Part of the reason there are not pictures of me is there is no one around to take them! So I took a deep breath and showed Kennin how to use the camera VERY carefully. He loved being photographer so I imagine many of my pictures will be taken by him!

31st B-day party!! (#1)
Project 52!!
So a friend from work started doing "Project 52" and thought it would be fun to get a bunch of people doing it. The idea is you post one picture with you in it every week for a year. I loved this idea because I am very few of our pictures. It has been fun to think about the things I want to have pictures of. Thanks Rakelle for getting me started!
